Abstract
As Datacom/Telecom application spaces continue to evolve and converge- driven by exponential demand for information bandwidth- a move to higher efficiency use of the available information bandwidth is being enabled by advanced modulation techniques. Client-side networks are quickly adopting PAM-4 signaling schemes, whereas line-side applications are now widely deploying coherent systems driven by QPSK/QAM (amplitude or phase modulated) coherent signaling methods.
