Approximately 50% of all new autos offer cellular connectivity and that number is expected to grow to nearly 100% within the next 10 years*. Increasingly, an auto manufacturer’s differentiator is the quality and performance of its in- vehicle connected applications.

Cellular connectivity within the vehicle opens up a host of new applications, including sharing of vehicle telematics, audio and video streaming, real-time traffic updates, vehicle maintenance and software updates, and Wi-Fi hotspots for passengers. However, the dynamic nature of the cellular environment
 in which vehicles operate (i.e., nearly constant mobility) poses challenges for the end user quality of experience for these applications.
