During the presentation we discuss the fundamentals of the Automotive Ethernet physical layer according to the Open Alliance (OA) and IEEE specifications. An overview of debugging and compliance measures related to the 100Base-T1, BroadR-Reach and 1000Base-T1 standards will be presented.

Finally, transmitter distortion compliance testing will be described using a Teledyne LeCroy high-definition oscilloscope and the T3AWG3252 Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator. This measurement system avoids the pitfalls that a designer might encounter during the development and execution of the test.

During the session: We will be using innovative oscilloscopes, such as the Teledyne LeCroy WavePro 804HD with 8 GHz bandwidth, 12bit resolution and 5 Gpts of memory, to carry out practical demonstrations with complex signals, and indicated the procedures for obtaining the best measurement results and signal integrity.

Duration: 45 minutes including Q&A session at the end.
