How to Perform Static and Dynamic Power Analysis
In this session (Part Two) we will describe the differences between static and dynamic power analysis and how to optimize setup and measurement for each. Special attention will be paid to visualizing dynamic power trends and correlation of these trends back to acquired voltage and current waveforms.

Topics to be included:

  • Fundamentals of static and dynamic power analysis
  • Correct selection and setup of the power period for accurate measurements
  • Per-cycle waveforms and their use in understanding performance
  • Correlating per-cycle waveforms to acquired waveforms

Who should attend? Inverter subsection engineers, motor/drive control system engineers, and inverter/drive systems engineers who design dynamic control and power systems that operate under highly controlled conditions.

What attendees will learn? Best in class techniques for measuring and understanding performance of and interrelationships between control and power sections.
