View Teledyne LeCroy's in-depth webinar recording on – Bluetooth LE Custom Decodes
Use cases for Custom Decoding:
- Unknown UUID (Universal Unique Identifier)
This is where the UUID is not listed in the Bluetooth SIG Assigned list.
- Unmapped UUID
This is where the UUID is not Mapped. Example could be where there is no discovery process so the Handles in use are not known to the sniffer. This could happen on a GATT Caching communication.
- GATT Caching Editor
This is a feature to allow you to add or Edit handles and UUIDs.
- Advertising extensions, periodic advertisements, and connectionless broadcast.
The above all can carry Payload or Proprietary Data that you may wish to decode.
Learn how to write your own decodes for Teledyne LeCroy (Frontline) Bluetooth analyzer decoding. When you capture proprietary data contained in Bluetooth packet payload, you need to add new decodes to read the proprietary content. Write your own decodes and now you can read/decode the full packet content.
