NOW AVAILABLE ON-DEMAND!
The initialization of a stable Ethernet link is increasingly complicated due to the advancements in speed and signaling. This is especially of true for PAM4 enabled communications channels, but also can be encountered for NRZ connections. New Ethernet products – switches, NICs and HBAs – must soon support 800GbE PAM4 links as well as legacy speeds and traffic.
This webinar recording introduces the viewer to the SierraNet protocol analysis tools for validating Ethernet connections, starting with Auto-Negotiation and Link Training (AN/LT) conformance and discusses some of the interoperability challenges faced by developers.
Key topics:
- Debug both NRZ and PAM4 link initialization sequences of today’s high-speed networks between disparate designs and implementations
- What’s in the Auto-Negotiation packet?
- Why is link training taking so long?
- Show common issues encountered during development and testing cycles
- Learn how Net Protocol Suite and the SierraNet tools provide complete low-level observation capabilities for AN/LT validation
