USB Type C and USB Power Delivery is becoming more and more important in the USB ecosystem. Therefore, it is important to know some basics about these two standards which depend on each other.
As USB Power Delivery will not work without USB Type C (at least with higher Power Profiles), Part 1 of this webinar series will focus on The USB Type C Standard while Part 2 (one week later) will cover USB Power Delivery.
In the first part we will explain what the USB Type C specifications are and will focus on the Type C Connector like Cable Detection, Dual Role Port. Should you consider getting your development certified, we will explain what is necessary.
In the second part of this webinar we will focus on USB Power Delivery. Its implementation is becoming more and more important in the consumer and automobile industry. Starting with an introduction into the Type Structure, we will focus on the correct initialization process and alternate mode in USB Power Delivery. Finally, we will discuss USB Power Delivery Compliance Testing.
