Receiver calibration and receiver BER testing can be a time consuming and technically challenging process. High-speed serial protocols such as PCIe® v. 4.0 and 5.0, USB4™, Thunderbolt™ 4, and DisplayPort™ 2.0 each have unique receiver test requirements and metrics. However, the receiver test for these technologies have common themes and can be streamlined through intelligent planning and software automation.
This webinar will guide you through a typical receiver calibration and BER test process using the USB4 procedure as an example. We will review how to properly measure and characterize the S-parameters and loss profiles of the ISI channel and test fixtures.
